Vijay Rupani will swear-in as Gujarat Chief Minister for second-term today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is four-term CM of Gujarat and other 18 state CMs will attend the oath taking ceremony in Gandhinagar.
On 18th December 2017, Gujarat Assembly Elections resulted fruitful to the Bharatiya Janta Party. After winning 99 seats in the elections, BJP announced earlier this week that Vijay Rupani as CM and deputy CM Nitin Patel would continue their posts.
61-year-old Vijay Rupani took oath as Gujarat’s 14th Chief Minister in the presence of PM Modi and BJP Chief Amit Shah and other 13 CMs.
State Governor O P Kohli administered the oath ceremony at a grand event. Rupani and his wife also offered prayers at the Panchdev Mahadev temple here before the swearing-in ceremony.
Former Congress leader Shankersinh Vaghela was also present at the ceremony.
