PM Narendra’s initiative Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is completing 3 years. Clean India campaign is getting bigger as PM Modi is reaching out to various fields’ celebs for their support. He is inviting celebs to be a part of ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign.
Under ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign, PM Modi will encourage widespread support for, and participation in cleanliness initiatives across India in the days leading up to the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
Recently Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated his birthday. Anushka shared the picture of the letter and posted on twitter,
“Happy Birthday to our honourable PM @narendramodi ji. Thank you Sir for the invitation to join the #SwachhataHiSeva movement. I am honoured to be a part of #SwachhBharat campaign and will do my best for the noble initiative of #SwachhataHiSeva.”
On 2nd October 2014, PM Modi launched the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan or Clean India Campaign for the promotion of sanitation. He has written personalized letters to various celebrities including industrialists, sportspersons, film actors, inter-faith leaders and others for their support.
PM introduced the subject of his letter in the manner, ‘Bapu believed strongly that Swachhata is for each of us to practice.’
In the letter he wrote,
“An inspiration to billions across generations and borders, Mahatma Gandhi recognised that our attitude towards cleanliness also reflects our attitude towards society. Bapu believed in achieving cleanliness through community participation,”
He also wrote, “Let us ensure that the coming days are about living the Mantra of ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’.”
The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan aims to make India a cleaner place by emphasising on sanitation and health as also changing age-old attitudes towards hygiene.
Last week President Ram Nath Kovind launched ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign to reignite the cleanliness drive by people’s support in the fortnight to 2nd October.
At the end of letter, he signed it off with a “Jai Hind!”.
On the work front, Anushka was last seen with Shahrukh Khan in Jab Harry Met Sejal. Currently she is working on her production film Pari. She will also play a role in Sanjay Dutt’s biopic and Shahrukh Khan’s film with Anand L Rai and Yash Raj film Sui Dhaaga – Made in India.
PM Modi celebrated his birthday in his home state Gujarat where he inaugurated the historical Narmada Dam and other projects.
