Pujara’s father Arvind Pujara was a Ranji Player for Saurashtra. Cheteshwar made his Under-19 debut for India against England in 2005. He was the leading run-scorer of the Under-19 World Cup where he scored 349 runs from 6 innings, including three fifties and a century, at an average of 117.
Cheteshwar Pujara made his international test debut in October 2010 against Australia where he scored 72 runs. But then he also struggled with his injuries and made comeback in 2012. Pujara became the second-quickest India batsman to the landmark of 1000 Test runs.
