Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on visit of Gujarat for 2-days. Yesterday on 29 June 2017, PM Modi visited Rajkot and a mega roadshow in Rajkot became the highlight of Prime Minister’s Gujarat visit.
There was rain from morning in Rajkot and it also joined PM Narendra Modi. Gujarat is the home state of Prime Minister and supporters showed their immense love and support for the honorable Prime Minister. Due to rain, PM’s roadshow got delay little bit and it was faster than normal roadshow. Though it continued for 50 minutes to complete the 9-km roadshow from Aji Dam to Rajkot airport.
After hackathon event and SAUNI yojana phase-3 link-1 inauguration, Prime Minister Modi’s roadshow started. Despite a continue raining, people were waiting on both sides of road to get a glimpse of PM Modi.
People were showering flowers throughout the route of roadshow on Prime minister. There were many stages and selfie stands arranged on the route. Also there was strict security and traffic regulations arranged.
Before PM Modi’s arrival in city, Rajkot city was decorated like never before, it was like Diwali time for the city. City witnessed various events for 3 days before PM’s event. At Roadshow in Rajkot, people chanted ‘Modi-Modi’ and Prime Minister continuously shared his love for the people with waving at everyone.
Also more than 10000 bikers joined Prime Minister’s roadshow in Rajkot. Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani, deputy CM Nitin Patel, Cabinet and state government ministers and local politicians and supporters joined Prime Ministers’ roadshow.
In this year, Prime Minister visited Gujarat fourth time that is on average on every 33rd day, PM Modi was in Gujarat. This visit to Gujarat is very important for BJP for upcoming assembly elections in Gujarat. BJP is targeting to win 150 seats out of 182 total.
Before Roadshow, Prime Minister Modi landed in Rajkot at 4 pm and then he joined ‘Sadhan Sahay Vitaran’ event at Race Course ground. This was India’s biggest camp for the visually-disabled people and it is recorded in Guinness Book of World records.
Also more than 1400 ‘divynag’ children sung national anthem in a sign language which is also a world record. After that PM Modi went to Aaji dam for inaugurating the Sauni Yojana Phase-3 Link-1. SAUNI Yojana is to fill the Saurashtra regions’ dams and rivers with narmada river water.
Yesterday, PM Modi began his Gujarat trip with Sabarmati Ashram visit in Ahmedabad. At Sabarmati ashram, he warned that the killing of people by cow vigilantes is unacceptable.
He also said, “No person in this nation has the right to take the law in his or her own hands in this country.”
