Under SAUNI Yojana, the Gujarat state government is filling the dams and rivers of Saurashtra region with over-flooding Narmada river water. Recently Gujarat CM Vijaybhai Rupani attended the event of Aaji dam filling under SAUNI yojana.
PM Modi will visit Aaji dam site as refilling it makes Rajkot city’s drinking water issue. After Aaji dam event, PM Modi will lead the roadshow in Rajkot city which starts from Aaji dam.
Rajkot is fondly known as Rangeelu Rajkot and also as ‘Chitra nagari’. Rajkot Municipal Corporation and Chitra Nagari will jointly gift a beautiful gift to Prime Minister. For PM Modi’s Roadshow, RMC is painting the roadshow route in Rajkot with amazing and beautiful paints.
As the roadshow of Prime Minister starts from Aaji dam, the area is painted with Swacch Bharat mission, Narmada dam, Beti Bachao and more themes. With more than 50 artists’ help, local government body managed to complete giant paintings in just 2 days.
While the Mahila College chowk will be painted with Bandhani and Patola themed drawing. So this way local government body is working hard to make Rajkot a ‘Chitra nagari’ (Painting city) as this event will be noticed worldwide.
