Today PM Narendra Modi arrived in Russia from Spain. He is on a four-nation tour to Europe. Prime Minister will start his Russia tour with a visit to Piskariovskoe cemetery. It is a memorial built for 500000 Russians killed during World War II.

Then PM Modi will also attend 18th India-Russia annual summit today as well. After that Russian President Vladimit Putin will receive PM Modi at the Konstantin Palace. It is official residence of Russian President where he hosts world leaders.  Then after the summit, Russian President will host a private dinner for PM Narendra Modi in St Petersburg.

Indian Prime Minister will join St Petersburg International Economic Forum on Friday. This is the first time when India will be a partner country. PM will interact with business leaders from India and Russia.

As per reports India will host an exclusive India-Eurasia economic business breakfast. Tomorrow it will complete 70 years of establishment of diplomatic deal between India and Russia.

Kudankulam nuclear plan deal will be on focus. This nuclear power deal between India and Russia involves signing off on units 5 and 6 of the plant. It may be built in collaboration with a Russian company.

If this nuclear deal happens, it will become the highlight of the summit. Apart from it, many agreements about railway, culture, IT, telecom and business will be signed.

After Russia visit, PM Modi will leave for France. It will be the conclusion stop of his tour. In France, PM Modi may meet President Emmanuel Macron in Paris. His forays into Europe are part of attempts at deepening cooperation especially at a time when US President Donald Trump’s public statements and policies have alienated certain European leaders.
