PM Narendra Modi is in his home state for 2 days. Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the roadshow with 10000 bike riders and roadside spectators. It was a 12 Km long roadshow in which PM Modi rode in SUV.
The Prime Minister was standing and waving to his fans through the sun-roof from airport to the circuit house.
After completing BJP National Executive in Odisha, PM Modi has come to Surat for 2-days. Within 9-months, PM Modi is visiting his home state for 8th times. This year Gujarat will host elections in November 2017.
After two-hour-long roadshow, PM Modi tweeted,
“Thank you Surat! Your affection and blessings will remain etched in my memory,”
Today Prime Minister will inaugurate various projects in Surat. PM Modi inaugurated Kiran Multi-Specialty Hospital and Research Center in Surat early morning. Then the Prime Minister head towards Ichhapur district for inauguration of diamond polishing unit of Hari Krishna Export Private Limited.
Then PM Modi will visit Bajipura village in Tapi district where he will inaugurate cattle feed plant and ice cream plant of Sumul Dairy. He will also lay foundation stone for dairy products plant at Nava Pardi.
At Kiran Multi-specialty hospital inauguration, PM Modi lauded diamond merchants. He said that he was not surprised by what they did.
He said that these people have known poverty and the pain of paucity. Therefore they won’t sleep at night until they are satisfied that they have done as much as they could for the society.
PM Modi also recalled his earlier statement where he had said that he would inaugurate the project he was laying the foundation of.
So then PM Modi said that people thought he was arrogant. He said that this was not the case but he merely likes to see whatever job he takes up is finished to the end.
At Hari Krishna Exports’ Diamond Polishing unit inauguration, PM Modi said, “Our nation was neither built, nor can it be run by governments, kings and politicians, but only by the service and hard work of its people,”
