PM Modi Inaugurated India’s Longest Cable Bridge in Bharuch – Photos

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Gujarat for two-day trip. Yesterday, on 7th March 2017, PM Modi inaugurated Cable Bridge on Ahmedabad-Mumbai National Highway. This Cable Bridge is near Bharuch city and it is India’s longest cable bridge.

Till yesterday, PM Modi was busy in a long campaign for Uttar Pradesh State assembly elections 2017. Then PM Modi took Twitter to announce about his Gujarat visit. India’s longest Cable Bridge in Bharuch is a 4-lane extra dosed bridge on National Highway 8.

After cable bridge opening, PM Modi inaugurated Petrochemicals complex of OPAL at Dahej.

India’s Longest Cable Bridge in Bharuch Gujarat-

Cable bridge is 1344 meters long and 22.8 metres wide. Larsen & Tubro built this bridge under the project of RS 379 crore of National highway authority of India.

L&T completed the bridge work in September 2016. It took 2 years to complete.

Cable Bridge on Narmada river consists of 216 cables and each one of them is 25 to 40 metres long. While the footpath on the bridge is of 3 metres.

There are more than 400 LED lights on the bridge.

PM Modi’s Schedule in Gujarat March 2017:

After inauguration of cable bridge, PM Modi took a view of bridge from helicopter and then left for Gandhinagar. PM Modi also addressed public at Ahmedabad airport.

Despite his busy schedule, this time also PM Modi managed his time to meet his mother Heeraba.

Then at night, Gujarat CM Vijaybhai Rupani hosted a dinner for Prime Minister at his home in Gandhinagar. Today, early Morning Prime Minister left for Somnath.

After becoming Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is visiting Somnath temple first time. When he was CM of Gujarat, he had visited Somnath temple for 13 times. After 20 years, today PM Modi, Amit Shah, L K Advani and Keshubhai patel are coming together.

Today, Prime Minister Modi will perform Mahaabhishek of Lord Somnath and also perform Aarti and offer Prayers.
