Karun Nair’s strike rate is pretty good in limited overs matches and ‘The Wall’ Rahul Dravid roped him in Rajasthan Royals for IPL 2014. But in 2016, IPL banned Rajasthan Royals for 2 years so Delhi Daredevils picked up Nair in 2016 IPL Auction.
Well, Karun Nair made his debut in the first ODI against Zimbabwe in June 2016 where played in opening but he did not score well. Nair made his test debut against England from 3rd test at Mohali. In his career’s first two tests, he couldn’t make an impact.
But in the last test of India vs England series at Chennai, Karun Nair created so many records. He scored his maiden ton and he converted it to 300.
On 4th day of 5th test of India vs England, Karun Nair scored 303 runs and as he completed his 300 runs, Captain Virat Kohli declared Indian First Innings. Nair become the second Indian to score triple century in tests after Virender Sehwag.
