After Demonetisation announced, IT Department is conducting raids at several places all across the country. Now, IT Department conducted raid at Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary P Rama Mohana Rao. First of all, Income tax dept. raided at his Chennai house.
Now, West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee attacked on Union Government for the “Vindictive, unethical, technical improper action”.
Mamta Banerjee tweeted in series. She said, “Earlier the Principal Secretary of Arvind Kejriwal was raided and harassed. Now I read Chief Secretary TN also raided. Why this vindictive, unethical, technically improper action? Is it only to disturb the federal structure?”
Even she also targeted BJP Chief Amit Shah. She said, “Why don’t they raid Amit Shah and others who are collecting money?”
As per allegation, Tamil Nadu Secy Rao had close links with Shekar Reddy who is an industrialist. Earlier this month IT Department raided Shekar Reddy’s businesses and residences. At Shekar Reddy’s premises, IT officers recovered Rs 154 crore in which Rs 34 crore currency in new note and more than 167 Kg of gold.
Mamta Banerjee tweeted more and said, “While corruption needs to be condemned strongly, raid on TN Chief Sec by Central agencies devalues institution of head of civil service,”.
PM Modi announced, Demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes from 8th November 2016. And also sets new rules and regulations. As PM Modi said he wants to make India free of corruption and black money, Government will not leave anyone who has black money.
