India’s popular and senior journalist Arnab Goswami announced his new venture and it would be called ‘Republic’. Times Now Senior Journalist and known for his show ‘Newshour’. Arnab left Times Now on 1st November and after a month he announced about his new venture.
After Arnab’s resignation, Rahul Shivshankar has posted as Editor in Chief of the Times Now channel. As per reports, Arnab’s new venture Republic News channel will start before the Uttar Pradesh election 2017.
Arnab Goswami is known for his frank speech and ‘Nation wants to know’ has become his signature mark. He got very popular for his live debate show ‘The News Hour’ which was airing at 9 pm on Times. As per reports, his only show was bringing over 60 per cent revenue for the Times Now channel.
Apart from this show, he also hosted a show named ‘Frankly Speaking with Arnab Goswami’ in which he was conducting detailed interview with politicians, sportspersons and other celebs.
Arnab Goswami’s success led him to the promotion as President of News in Times Now and ET Now. But Arnab resigned Times after successful 10 years of job. Reputed Senior Journalist Arnab Goswami started his career at The Telegraph in Kolkata.
In 1995, he joined NDTV where he became prominent person with Vikram Chandra and Rajdeep Sardesai. Then he joined Times Now as Editor-in-Chief in 2006. He brings the TV Journalism in a unique style into India. Arnab has a dedicated viewer base of people who love his direct interrogative style of debates, and also those who hate him.
