With Reliance Jio tariff plans announcement, there is a price war again in telecom sector. Reliance is offering Jio 4g plans at unbelievable price. With industry insiders and analysts predicting Bharti Airtel, Vodafone and Idea Cellular to slash their rates to respond to the enticing tariffs that Reliance Jio Infocomm is offering.
Country’s top telecom operator Bharti Airtel has cut 4G and 3G mobile data charges by up to 80% to as low as Rs 51 per Gigabyte (GB) under special offer.
The strong price war before Reliance Jio’s debut has released attractive internet data offers by telecom supplier who are recently doing everything to ensure their customers don’t switch.
Now airtel revised its internet data pack plans for its prepaid and corporate customers. It cut its internet prepaid tariffs to 80% and over 150% for its corporate customers.
With its current scheme, you spend Rs. 1,498 for 1GB 3G/4G data and post collapse, customers can enjoy 1GB 3G/4G for only Rs 51. For a one year long time period, you get 12 GB 3G/4G of data at Rs 2110 for 12 month, if you are an Airtel subscriber.
Whereas, Vodafone is giving 1GB internet data (3G/4G) for Rs 297 with validity for 28 days. This sumps up to Rs 3861 for 13 GB of data for one year.
BSNL is also in the race and is offering 1GB internet data (3G data) at Rs 198. Ultimately you need to spend at around Rs 2574 for 13 GB for 12 months. Idea which is also trying to catch up with challengers is offering 1GB internet data (3G) at Rs 249 for 28 days. You will end up spending Rs 3,237 for 13 GB for one year.
While Reliance Jio is set to be formally rolled out in just few days, the competition is set to get fierce. Whatever be the result of this fight, customers are meant to gain more.
There is a little note that all plans are valid for 28 days not a one month. Though, over a one year, you will end up buying 13 packs not a 12. And all rates which are stated above are for Delhi NCR.
