World’s Most popular photo sharing App, Instagram has released its new feature. Instagram’s new feature is like Snapchat and they have names it ‘Instagram Stories’. Now Instagram users can post pictures and video that expire after 24 hours.
Facebook owned Instagram’s ‘Instagram Stories’ feature is very much similar to its rival app Snapchat. Snapchat is launched in 2011. In snapchat, its privacy feature gives boosts to the app. Text messages got disappear after they are read and post expires after 24 hours.
Now Instagram Stories feature allows users to annotate their post with emojis, doodles and texts. Snapchat had rejected Facebook’s $3 billion offer before 3 years.
Snapchat is popular app in young generation who want to keep their privacy on posts. Recently Snapchat surpassed Twitter in daily users and it is valued around $18 billion.
Last month, Snapchat introduced ‘Memories’ feature that allows users to save and share their videos. In Instagram Stories, Followers can send direct message to uploader but users can’t Like an image or post a comment, just like in Facebook.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg wrote on Facebook, “This is the latest step in putting video at the center of all our services. People are already creating and sharing more video, so we’re going to make it even easier.”
Many replies to Zuckerberg’s post pointed out the new feature’s similarity to Snapchat.
How to Use Instagram Stories?:
Tap on the plus button found on the top left side of your Instagram home or swipe left in your Feed.
Tap the circle button at the bottom of the screen to take photos or tap and hold to record a video.
Tap Done to save your story.
Tap the checkmark button to share to your story.
