Gujarat CM Anandiben Patel has offered to resign as a Chief Minister of the state. She posted on her facebook account and submitted her resignation after Dalit Protests in Gujarat. She has sent her resignation letter to BJP leased to get her relieved from the responsibility of CM.
She has said that she had two months earlier sought to resign from the party to give “enough time to the new compulsory to prepare for important events like the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat summit”.
Anandiben Patel posted, “Today once again I have sent a letter to the top brass of the party requesting I be allowed to step down as chief minister.”
Gujarat CM also shared that she is taking this step by considering the fact that she was almost 75 years old and the age at which PM Modi expects ministers to retire.
As per sources Anandiben Patel has already disucces with BJP president Amit Shah. Nitin Shah and Saurabh Patel are the most eligible candidates to be a next CM of Gujarat.
However, In last 1 year Gujarat has faced many issues including Patel agitation and now Dalit Protest. So these kind of her failure as CM can also be the reason for Anandiben’s resignation. There will also be Assembly election in early 2017 in Gujarat.
