Violence in Saurashtra Gujarat after Cow Vigilantes Beat up Dalits

As being a Socially, Mentally, educationally responsible INDIAN – GUJARATI citizen, I feel really guilty while narrating this news.

Saurashtra Gujarat region is having a new trouble after on Monday, 18 July 2016 some Dalits were beaten up in Samdhiyala village of Una Taluka in Gir Somnath district for skinning the cow. As per the news, some Cow vigilantes beat up 4 to 5 Dalits who were skinning a dead cow. The video showing the persons being attacked with iron rods by vigilante group went viral on social media.

Chief Minister Anandiben Patel also announced that a “designated court will be set up to expedite the trial and charge sheet will be submitted within 60 days.”

Then the Dalit community all over the state got violent. From Monday night, the community people are destroying public properties and harming the local public also.

On Monday night, two ST buses were burnt in Gondal while a National Highway was blocked by angry mobs for several hours. On Tuesday, July 19, 2016 some city buses are destroyed in Rajkot, almost 5 buses were burnt in Amreli.

OBC Leader Alpesh Thakor has declared to go on Hunger strike in Ahmedabad. Today, 19 July 2016 morning, Alpesh Thakor reached to hunger strike place but ACP did not allow them as the permission was not granted.

In Surendranagar, a furious group dumped carcasses in Collector’s office during their protest rally.

Local Congress leader Anil Madhad and some other persons consumed pesticides. Many people have warned for suicide attempt.

A total of seven persons, including local Congress leader Anil Madhad, in two separate protest demonstrations, consumed pesticide, protesting the atrocity.

The police have arrested nine persons. Four policemen, including an inspector, have been suspended for neglect of duty. Then ‘Infamous’ Hardik Patel who has recently released from the jail has wrote a letter to CM Anandiben Patel. He wrote that In Last 1 Year almost 14 to 15 Patel community persons are injured and killed but no action is taken against Police.

Hardik also complained that Government itself is making differences between Public. Dalit Community has got justice due their unity.

‘Gatisheel Gujarat’ or Most Progressed State Gujarat’s public are behaving like ‘uneducated’ for last several months. Beating up Police, destroying public properties, roadblocks, protesting roadshows, abusive statements about government and increasing violence is a normal scene nowadays in Gujarat.

I really feel ashamed due to immature behavior of public.
