Indian Wrestler Narsingh Yadav got fail in Dope test ahead of Rio Olympics 2016. Narsingh Yadav tested positive for banned substance in the games. Before Rio 2016, NADA tested on Narsingh Yadav before some week and the result of the test is positive for steroid.
Narsingh Yadav is a 74 Kg freestyle wrestler. An Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel (ADDP) will look into the matter and hear the case, and if found guilty Narsingh may be suspended from participation in the sport for four years. Yadav had beaten Sushil Kumar the wrestler who has two Olympic gold medals, in a qualifier to enter Olympics.
Yadav made his way into the circuit with sheer hard work and determination. WFI is in support of Narsingh Yadav. Narsingh Yadav has won international gold medal at the Asian Championships 2010 in the 74-kg freestyle category.
The same year he won another gold at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi. In 2011, he won the silver at the Commonwealth Championship. At both the Asian Games 2014 and 2015 Yadav won the bronze medal.
Wrestler has claimed that his dope test failure is a conspiracy against him. As per him, he has undergone almost 25-30 dope tests and cleared each and every one.
His roommate Sandeep Yadav has also been tested positive for the same substance Metadienone. Narsingh said in the interview that they eat the same food and take the same supplements, and that someone must have mixed the banned substance in one of these.
WFI official said, “It is foul play. Narsingh has a very clean history. it is clearly a conspiracy against him. A decision on the representation in 74kg is to be taken later but in all likelihood there would be no Indian representation in 74kg in Rio. Narsingh has been handed provisional suspension as of now.”
