PAAS Leader Hardik Patel is released from Lajpor Jail after 9 months. Today, on Friday morning, 15 July 2016 PAAS Leader Hardik Patel get released from Jail. Many people are gathered outside Lajpore Jail to welcome Hardik Patel.

Hardik Patel was in Jail under cases of sedition and violence during the quota agitation last year.

Gujarat High Court has approved Hardik Patel’s bail after making many conditions. Hardik Patel have to left Gujarat state for next 6 months within 48 hours of his release from Jail. When Hardik came out of Lajpore Jail, 11 girls from different communities welcomed him with a tilak ceremony.

Before Hardik’s release, his supporters have started arriving at Jail gate.

“This is how Hardik was dressed when arrested from Rajkot in October 2015. This symbolizes the farmer. And, the farmer is in bondage,” said the youth who was dressed in white kurta-pyjama and chained with heavy metal cuffs at both hands, legs and even neck.

PAAS (Patidar Ananmant Anadolan Samity) will soon take out a rally from Jail to Varaccha, across the Surat city. On Thursday evening, Surat Police permit PAAS to have roadshow but to hold a public meeting is denied.

The Gujarat Road State Transport cancelled the Varaccha route today and diverted entire traffic of public transport through Olpad. As many as 30 buses were torched by protestors during the Patidar agitation last year in this area.

23-year-old Hardik Patel had been leading agitations, demanding Other Backward Class status and 27% reservation in government jobs and education for Patidar community. He was taken to Jail in October 2015 when he got arrested from Rajkot under sedition charges.

As Hardik could not live in Gujarat, He may get shifted to Uttar Pradesh for 6 months. PAAS roadshow in Surat would coincide with CM Anandiben Patel’s visit to the city to unveil a number of development projects.

Hardik Patel has appealed to his community to ensure no troublesome incident during the celebratory programmes in his last letter from the jail.
