State Government of Gujarat’s “Ujala Gujarat Scheme” has some changes. Gujarat Government recently announced 10 Rs reduction in price of LED Bulbs which are distributed to public under Ujala Gujarat Yojana. Ujala Gujarat Yojana is launched in Gujarat in May month.
The scheme of distributing LED bulbs at subsidized rates was launched in Gujarat by Chief Minister Anandiben Patel on May 26, 2016. Under this scheme, each household is eligible to get a maximum of 10 bulbs.
Gujarat State Energy minister Saurabh Patel said that the scheme has met with tremendous success, as over 63 lakh LED bulbs are already sold within one month of launching the scheme.

Ujala Gujarat Yojana/Scheme LED Bulb Price:
Rs 70 per Bulb on Down Payment
Rs 75 per Bulb on EMI
Rs 80 per Bulb for Commercial Use

Visit Nearest Electricity Distribution Center
Submit Copy of Fully Paid Electricity Bill
Copy of Photo Identity Card (Original and Photocopy)
“We have sold 63 lakh LED bulbs through 615 distribution centres across the state during the last one month. Looking at such huge response, we have decided to slash the price for domestic users. From Monday (tomorrow), we will charge only Rs 70-75 instead of Rs 80-85 per piece,” he said.
“The reduction in price is only applicable to domestic users. There is no change in price for industrial and commercial users,” Mr. Patel clarified.
