It is great news for Indian athletes. There are 4 Indian Long Jumper qualifies for Rio Olympics 2016 including Ankit sharma, Mohammad Anas, Atanu Das and Srabani Nanda had qualified. Ankit Sharma had qualified on Sunday at 26 June 2016 for Rio 2016 Olympics in men’s long jump after gathering requirement spot in Kazakhstan.
Ankit had qualified with a jump of 8.17 meters. Ankit Sharma, a national record holder, qualified for the Rio 2016 Olympics in men’s long jump after meeting the qualification mark with a jump of 8.17 metres.
The 24-year-old Odisha athlete sprinter Srabani Nanda too qualified for Rio after she covered 200-meter in 23.07second. Srabani Nanda became India’s 103rd athlete for the Rio games.
The 21-year-old, Mohammad Anas had complete his long Jump task in clocked 45.40 secs, the exact Rio qualification timing, and become the 21st Indian path and field athlete to qualify for the upcoming Rio Olympic 2016.
The athlete crushed his own national record of 45.44 secs which he set on Friday 24 June 2016 on the first day of the same competition.
Atanu Das will be the only Indian representative in the men’s category who will participate in Rio Olympic for the first time.
sprinter Dutee Chand on Saturday, 25 June 2016 booked a Rio Games berth at the 26th G Kosanov Memorial Meet in Almaty, Kazakhstan, then two more Indian athletes Ankit Sharma and Srabani Nanda hopped onboard.
