India’s top car selling Company Maruti Suzuki India has issued a recall for Baleno and Swift DZire. Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Swift DZire are Maruti’s top selling card and both the cars will be recalled from all over the India for faulty airbag controller software and faulty fuel filters.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno is recalling for the issue of faulty airbag controller software and the Company will recall almost 75419 Baleno units while Swift DZire is recalled for the issue with fuel filter and its 1961 units will be recalled. The Company has claimed that they are recalling the cars proactively taking customer’s safety into consideration.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno’s petrol and diesel both variants will be recalled. Even almost 15995 Baleno diesel variants that are manufactured between August 2015 to 22 March 2016 will also be attended for inspection and replacement of faulty fuel filter. The recall units also include 17,231 car were allotted for export.
This is not the first recall issued by Maruti Suzuki this year. Earlier this month, Maruti has also recalled almost 20000 units of S-Cross for faulty brake part.
From 31 May 2016, Maruti Suzuki dealers will contact the owners of the recalling vehicles and both the software upgrade and the replacement of faulty fuel filter, will be done free of cost. Maruti Suzuki baleno and Swift DZire owners who want to check if their vehicle is under recall or not, they can check it from Nexa website for particular car model where customer needs to fill the chassis number on the computer screen.
