Apple CEO Tim Cook inaugurated a facility in Hyderabad that would focus on development of maps for its products. Tim Cook inaugurated this facility in Hyderabad on 19th May 2016, Thursday. Apple Inc today announced the opening of a new office in Hyderabad that will focus on development of Maps for its products including iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch.
The California-based technology giant Apple manufactures popular gadgets iPhone and iPad. Tim Cook said that, “We are thrilled to open this new office in Hyderabad which will focus on Maps development. The talent here in the local area is incredible and we are looking forward to expanding our relationships and introducing more universities and partners to our platforms as we scale our operations.”
“India is home to one of the most vibrant and entrepreneurial iOS development communities in the world.” said Mr Cook. Tim is in India. He met Mukesh Ambani’s son Anant Ambani at Siddhi Vinayak Temple. Cook also visited Mehaboob Studio. Tim dinned with B-town celebs at Shah Rukh Khan’s residence Mannat.
However, Cook’s next schedule has not revealed by company. There are reports that he will meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other government officials.
Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao said that, “We are honored Apple chose Hyderabad as a home for its Maps development office. This will create thousands of jobs here and is a testament to our proactive approach, quality infrastructure and the excellent talent base we have in the region.”
Anup Jindal, RMSI’s CEO said that, “Apple is one of the most innovative companies in the world and we are very proud they chose us to partner with for this important project. We are experts in geospatial data and we will be hiring thousands of people from the local area to support this effort.”
The statement said, Apple supports over 6,40,000 iOS app developer jobs and other positions related to the iOS ecosystem across India.
