Tesla Motors Inc.’s new first mass-market vehicle is getting more attention from the car lovers as in 2 days only after launch, Tesla Model 3 Sedan Car’s 253000 Pre-orders are booked and as per the Company, it will take about 18 months or more to reach the customers.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk tweeted on Friday that the Model 3, which is slated to go into production in late 2017, will sell at an average price of $42,000, including the price of options and additional features, which would give the initial flurry of orders an estimated retail value of $10.6 billion. He also announced the base price of the Model 3 that will start at $35,000 which is a little over Rs.23 lakh (excluding taxes).
There will also be Supercharger networks throughout India. The cars powertrain comes fitted with a total of 7,200 Superchargers, which can boost the car to from 0-60 mph (0-96km) in less than 6 seconds. Supercharger support and 215 miles range will be standard across all variants and like the Model S, the Model 3 will also come in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions.
The Model 3 is crucial for Tesla to reach its goal of selling 500,000 cars per year by 2020. Tesla Model 3 Sedan Car will face challenges from low gasoline prices, high battery costs and uncertain investment in recharging infrastructure.
