The Union Government launched online portal along with mobile App for Start Up India on 31st March 2016, Thursday. The first announced about this portal and mobile App was during the launch of Start Up India event in January. The mobile App will help such enterprises register with the program. This portal and mobile app through which start-ups can gather all latest updates on various notifications, circulars issued by various departments and different funding agencies.
The government also launched a separate portal for Start Up India that will act as a single-window interface for information on intellectual property rights (IPR). The online portal will provide all the information about incubation facilities and the tax benefits that the government will offer to the startups.
The portal http://startupindia.gov.in for Startup India is launched by secretary of Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) Ramesh Abhishek in New Delhi. These portal and mobile App provides all information of Startup India.
The secretary of Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Ramesh Abhishek said that the portal and app were launched as an integral component of an action plan. He said that, “The hub will work in a hub and spoke model with governments, VCs, angel funds, incubators, mentors. It will assist startups through their lifecycle, on all aspects, such as providing mentorship, incubator facilities, IPR support, funding.”
The aim behind portal and mobile App that is bring together all stakeholders including startups, incubators, accelerators, venture capital funds, seed capital funds, angel investment funds and government functionaries on one platform.
