Some new improvements have been made to the WhatsApp document file sharing feature too. One can now share a document through Google Drive. Users can select a PDF, Word file or PowerPoint presentation file from Google Drive. Although, all of the files will be automatically converted to PDF format before sending it to other users.

Recently WhatsApp introduced support for sharing documents, new Emojis and a completely revamped Settings page on Android. The Settings screen brought new features including a circular profile picture, instead of a square one like before.

WhatsApp now has 1 billion monthly active users, just seven years after the app was first launched.
