Nominations for 10th Asian Film Awards were revealed on Wednesday 3rd February, 2016 at Hong Kong. And Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani got five nominations in the best – film category. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Bajirao Mastani” has landed five nominations, including in the Best Film category, at the 10th Asian Film Awards, where “The Assassin” is the front-runner with nine nominations.
This year Indian Nominations are increased in Asian Film Awards. Let’s take a look of that:

Vishal Bhardwaj in Talvaar for best screenplay
Amit Trivedi in Bombay Velvet for best original music
Srinivas Mohan in Baahubali: The Beginning for best visual effects
Bajiaro Mastani not only nominated for best film but also for best costume design, best visual effects, best original music and best editing. Masaan actor Vicky Kaushal is also nominated for best newcomer, Vishal Bhardwaj for best screenplay for Talvar, Bombay Velvet and Baahubali also received nominations for different categories.
In this year for 15 awards 77 nominations were made. It was a major surprise for Asian Film Awards when Bajirao Mastani appeared in front runner in Indian Costume drama. The awards will be presented on Thursday, 18 March 2016 at Macau.
Indian films are now slowly became increasing part of Asian Film Awards.
