Bollywood actor Rajesh Vivek who is known for his roles in superhit movies like ‘Lagaan’ and ‘Swades’. He passed away due to heart attack in Hyderabad on Thursday 14th January, 2016. He was 66 years old. He was a part of Bollywood for more than two decades.
It is a huge loss to Bollywood industry. He was playing role of astrologer Guran in Lagaan movie and as postman in Shahrukh Khan’s Swades movie. Rajesh passed away around 3 pm due to heart attack in Hyderabad.
He was shooting for South Indian film. Vivek was first introduced by Shyam Benegal in his film Junoon. Basically a theatre actor, he had also acted in popular television series Mahabharata, Bharat Ek Khoj and in Aghori.
He made his mark as a villain in the beginning with films like Veerana (1988) and Joshilaay (1989), often playing roles of henchman, but later on he started doing comic or supporting roles. He also appeared in the movie like Bunty Aur Babli.
Rajesh was born on January 31, 1949 to Raj Bahadur Upadhyay (1904–1980) & Prem Kumari Upadhyay (1912–1992). He contributed in many movie and his great work will always be remembered. His last rites will be on Friday in Mumbai.
