Airlift Movie Review 2016 : Akshay Kumar Makes Every Indian Feel Proud

Only one word to say about Airlift: OUTSTANDING, @akshaykumar effort acting was superb. @NimratOfficial had also done well acting

Bhushan Kumar’s Bollywood movie Airlift starring Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur is released today, 22 January 2016. Akshay Kumar is the most watchable star in Bollywood today. The political drama “Airlift” talks about India’s biggest mission. It is directed by Raja Krishna Menon.

In the movie Airlift, Akshay plays the role of Ranjit Katyal, the unsung, unknown hero who masterminded the evacuation of thousands of Indians stranded in Kuwait in August 1990 when Saddam Hussain’s army decided to take over. And Nimrat Kaur plays role of Amrita.

Ranjit Katyal is a wealthy and powerful Indian businessman settled in Kuwait. He is married to Amrita and feels prouder to be a Kuwaiti than an Indian.

The film revolves around the efforts that were made to Indian commercial pilots who undertook 488 flights over 59 days to evacuate 1,70,000 Indians from Kuwait after it was invaded by Saddam Hussein.

Akshay’s role clearly inspired by Liam Neeson in Steven Spielberg’s Schindler’s List. And Akshay is every bit as compelling as Neeson. Akshay has delivered a brilliant performance which is the highlight of the “Airlift”. Nimrat Kaur, Feryna Wazheir, Inaamulhaq, Lena, Purab Kohli, Kumud Mishra and Prakash Belawadi have also done a superb job in Airlift.
