Sattvik Food Festival 2016 will be organized by SRISHTI in the early 2016. 13th traditional Food Festival “Sattvik 2016” will be held for 3 days in Ahmedabad Gujarat. Satvik Food Festival 2016 will be organized at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. The food festival was started 12 years ago to promote conservation of agro-biodiversity and creation of demand for nutritional crops.

The 13th food festival is organized from 9 to 11 January 2016 at IIMA new campus ground, Vastrapur, Ahmedabad during 11.00 am to 10.00 pm. A group of 20 tribal people from Dang performed local dance. Sell of organic grains, taste of organic sugarcane juice, rural food items from across the states and corners of Gujarat are some of the attractions.

Sattvik Food Festival 2016 will have events like Farmers’ fair of organic and eco-friendly agro- products, Competitions highlighting children’s creativity and biodiversity knowledge, Exhibition of Grassroots Innovations and Crafts, Pottery, Folk Dance and Songs.

The IIM Food Festival 2014 had wide variety of food items including exotic recipes of Surti Undhiyu, Parsi recipes, Thalipeth of Maharashtra, Jewish food,  Pineapple, Guava-Tomato Soup,  Apple & Mahuwa ki Jalebi, Soyabean Chat, Nutritious Sattvik Drinks, Ashwagandha-Satavari Biscuits, Wheat Chevdo, nutritious products of Amla, Aloe vera, Brahmi khakhra and biscuits, Cactus fruits, Kashmiri Kahwa, Mahuwa recipe, Surati Ponkh, Jowar, Bajra and Makke ki Roti; Traditional recipes from Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Jammu and Kashmir, West Bengal, etc.
