Indian PM Narendra Modi will visit five Central Asian countries that follow the moderate Hanafi school of Islam. On 6 July 2015, PM Modi will left for strategically very important tour. Narendra Modi will also attend the BRICS (the grouping of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) and Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summits in the Ufa city of Russia for 2 days on July 9 & 10 2015, making it the first time an Indian prime minister will attend the SCO meet.
PM Modi will visit Tashkent, the Uzbekistan capital, and Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. India has at last shown a sense of urgency to connect with these countries, say Indian diplomats involved in the region.
At the SCO summit in Russia, where Pakistan and India are likely to become member countries, Modi will have an opportunity to meet his Pakistan counterpart Nawaz Sharif. Modi said in a post on his official Facebook page that Indian movies, language and music were very popular in Uzbekistan.
On July 7 and 8, Modi will be in Kazakhstan, India`s largest trading partner in Central Asia. He will meet President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Prime Miniter Karim Massimov. On 11 July 2015, Narendra Modi will reach Turkmenistan, for the first visit by an Indian prime minister after P.V. Narasimha Rao in 1995. He will meet President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, which will be followed by talks and signing of agreements.
Modi will inaugurate a statue of Mahatma Gandhi and a Traditional Medicine and Yoga Centre. PM Modi reaches Kyrgyzstan on 12 July 2015, for the first visit by an Indian prime minister in 20 years. On the last leg of the visit, Modi will be in Tajikistan on July 12 and 13. He will meet Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon and key agreements will also be signed.
Currently Sacred Ramzan month of Muslim community is going on. PM Modi will visit all these 5 Islamic central Asian nations from 6th July to 13 July 2015.
