Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2015 is having a new route via Nathula or Nathu La Border Point in Sikkim state where people can visit Mansarovar Yatra by car. Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2015 has been started on 12 June 2015 and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat from Almora gave flag off to first batch of 58 pilgrims.
The new route for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra through Nathu La in Sikkim will be operationalised during this Yatra season. The pilgrims will enter Tibetan Autonomous Region of China on June 20 through the existing route of 17,500 feet high Lipulekh pass. Nathu La, 4,000 metres above sea level, will facilitate comfortable travel for Indian pilgrims by buses, especially for elderly Indian citizens.
Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2015 New Route/How to Reach Kailash Mansarovar by Car :
New Delhi – Bagdogra – Nathula – Kangama – Lajji – Hore(Mansarovar) – Daulamala (Kailash Mansarovar)
BSNL have installed satellite phones at Gala, Bundi, Gunji and Nabhidhank camps to allow the pilgrims talk to their families. The pilgrims could travel by vans and busses up to Manasorvar and Kailash directly. The new route, though longer, takes pilgrims from Nathu La to Shigatse also known as Xigaze, the second biggest city in Tibet after provincial Capital Lhasa by road. From there the pilgrims could comfortably travel to Manasarovar and Kailash using well laid out highway.
Over 18 batches of more than 1,000 pilgrims are likely to undertake the annual Mansarovar Yatra this year.
