Bollywood dimple queen Deepika Padukone is starring in MY CHOICE short film for Women Empowerment by Vogue Empowerment. The short film My Choice is directed by Cocktail and Finding Fanny maker, Homi Adajania, about women empowerment.
My Choice Short film has been written by Kersi Khambatta. We can see 99 women from Mumbai come together in the short film and Deepika’s narration in the background is hair raising at points. Apart from Deepika, the movie also features Zoya Akhtar, Nimrat Kaur, Adhuna Akhtar, Anaita Shroff Adajania, Sherry Shroff and others.
The black-and-white video, produced by Dinesh Vijan, features the 29-year-old actress calling for a change in the “caged” mindset of men about women and asking them to stop judging women for their choices of clothes, profession and life.
It is my choice to live life the way I want, to wear clothes I like, to decide how I want my body to be, when I want to get married or if I ever want to walk down the aisle, to decide if I want to be straight or a lesbian…,” Deepika said in the video.

Talking about women empowerment at the launch of the video, Padukone said, “I personally feel empowered when you are not caged, when you don’t succumb to expectations, when you speak your mind and you do the things that you want to do or you do the things that make you happy.”
Before Deepika, Alia Bhatt was also seen in #VogueEmpower for Women Empowerment video/short film titled “Going Home”. The My Choice short film is in controversy and many people are giving reply to Deepika’s short film.
