NSE India and GIFT City Gandhinagar signs MoU for First International Exchange in GIFT SEZ

National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Gujarat International Finance Tech (GIFT) City Signs Memorandum of Understanding (Mou) for First International Exchange in GIFT City’s Spatial Economic Zone (SEZ).

Gandhinagar’s Gujarat International Finance Tech (GIFT) City’s MD Ramakant Jha and MD and CEO of National Stock Exchange (NSE) Chitra Ramakrishna Signs MoU to Build and Develop India’s First International Exchange with permission of Gujarat State Finance Minister (2015) Saurabh Patel.

This new Signed Memorandum of Understanding for exchange will provide an electronic platform for trading, settlement and clearing of securities, and will also explore the possibility of starting trading facilities in different assets classes like equities, interest rates, currencies, among others.

This GIFT City is Located 12 km away from the Ahmedabad International Airport and 8 km from Gandhinagar.

GIFT City was conceptualized as a pet project of the Gujarat government when Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the state’s Chief Minister.
