The hottest skiing destination in India, Auli will celebrate World Snow Day 2015 in the month of January. Local ski operators and the Winter Games Association will come together to provide free ski passes and sessions for adults and kids.
World Snow Day Date in India 2015 : 18th January 2015
This global celebration of snow was attended by approx. 1000 persons who included 51 participants with different age group, Ski trainee and tourist also. Fun Skiing, Sledging, Snow Balling and many other fun activities were organized by snow team. This snow festival was also covered by media & also given wide coverage to the event. People from various state of India were very happy to see celebration of snow and all the children are looking forward for such event in future also.
Auli is a very beautiful and famous place located in Uttarakhand state of India. GMVN organizes a 7-day or a 14-day ski workshop and it is a good option for people who want to learn skiing. The best part is there is no restriction on any of the slopes.

For the avid skier, cross-country runs of 10-20 km are now available, with the added advantage of fresh powder snow, away from criss-crossing streams of skiers that overtake the slopes of the European Alps. By road, Haridwar is well connected with major destinations of the country. NH72 connects Haridwar to Nahan (125 km) to the north-west, and thereon to Panchkula, Chandi¬garh and Shimla. NH 72 terminates at Dehardun, which is at 54km from Haridwar. Haridwar is located at a distance of 235 km from Delhi. NH72A links Haridwar to NH58 at Roorkee (35 km) and thereon south to Meerut (170 km) and Delhi (235 km). There is regular bus service from Delhi for Haridwar from Delhi’s ISBT Kashmere Gate.
